A deploying Marine's Dad had us sheath this 17" machette and asked us to rush it to his son. Bruce had never sheathed anything longer than a foot long and tore apart a couple of work stations and put them back together in Gina's kitchen, commandeering the area & oven for a few days to get 'er done. It was the first of many long knife sheaths Bruce has since fabricated & led to us setting up a dedicated long knife work station. The Marine sent these photos of himself (see below) & his unit. THANK YOU for your service!

Nye Co. Sheriff Dep. Ian Deutch
END OF WATCH ~ April 26, 2010

Ian was back on the job with his K-9 partner for just 2 days, after a year's deployment in Afganistan on combat duty as a Staff Sgt. with the Army National Guard's 221st Cavalry Wildhorse Squadron, when he was brutally gunned down in our rural Nevada community. We mourn his loss and the loss of each brave soldier. Ian's brother, who was deployed with him, continues to serve as a Nye Co. deputy.
