In Memory of Nye Co. Sheriff Dep. Ian Deutch - END OF WATCH: April 26, 2010 Ian was back on the job with his K-9 partner for just 2 days, after a year's deployment in Afganistan on combat duty as a Staff Sgt. with the Army National Guard's 221st Cavalry Wildhorse Squadron, when he was brutally gunned down in our rural Nevada community. We mourn his loss and the loss of each brave soldier. Ian's brother Richard, who was deployed with Ian, continues to serve as a Nye Co. deputy.
